Sample layouts

Three illustrative examples of how a bill and a survey turn into a system. These are sample layouts, not real customer installations.

Sample layout

Pasig home

5 kW · Grid-tie · Concrete roof deck

A household that uses most of its power in the daytime.

What the bill was used for: Twelve months of bills set the array size. Most of the use was in the daytime, so the system was sized to cover daytime load and no battery was included.

Illustrative: about 9 panels at roughly 550 W each. Actual panel count depends on the module chosen and the roof.

Sample layout

QC shop

5 kW · Hybrid · Metal / GI roof

A small shop with chillers that cannot go off in a brownout.

What the bill was used for: The bills showed steady use from morning into the evening. The battery was sized to keep the chillers and lights running during outages, not to power the whole shop.

Illustrative: about 9 panels at roughly 550 W each. Actual panel count depends on the module chosen and the roof.

Sample layout

Small office

10 kW · Grid-tie · Metal / GI roof

Weekday aircon and computers that run while the sun is up.

What the bill was used for: The bills showed weekday daytime load that matches solar hours. The array was sized against that load; with the office closed at night, a battery was not needed.

Illustrative: about 18 panels at roughly 550 W each. Actual panel count depends on the module chosen and the roof.

Sample layouts are illustrative examples of how we size systems. They are not real customer installations.

Why we start with the bill

Your Meralco bill shows how much power you use each month. Several months of bills show how that changes through the year. Combined with what you tell us about when you use power, day or night, it tells us how big the array should be and whether a battery is worth it.

The site survey then checks what the roof can actually hold: area, orientation, shading and structure. The final layout is the smaller of what the bill calls for and what the roof allows.
